Dear Father,
Winds have taken us safely to the city of Dalanis. During the trip I spent most of the time doing my common research and looking for marks left by Katyusha.
Although we still have a decent amount of coins, the recommendation of Аrtik to join the adventurers guild has become of interest. May our quests help us find another soul that has crossed the path Katyusha has walked along.
Much love,

Dear Father,
The coldness of winter comes closer every day, guiding Artik and I to join the adventurers guild, the process was faster and easier than previously expected. We noticed that everyone keeps to themselves, we mostly go on missions here and there with people we do not know. I find silence easier among strangers. As for Artik... He speaks only when he must. Silence is his second language. I have grown to hearing more of his machinery than of his voice. We may not see the other members of the guild the next day so my mind is fixed on taking care of myself and finding Katyusha. Such is God's plan.
Much love,

Dear father,
Autumn has almost found us, but we may have found ourselves an adventurer group that appears to be getting into a normal routine with Artik and I. There's a woman that I presume to be a Dhampir, a dog woman that is unable to identify faces, only souls, and a man who appears constantly terrified. He's an incredibly funny specimen, I am not sure how he's still alive. I shall try to study it while I'm at it.
Another thing, I found a book with names of fallen adventurers, the name of Katyusha was not there. I sighed in relief, even though I haven't been able to find anything else.
Much love,

Dear father,
I write to you from the usual far away calmness that finds me when I remember your protective presence. For that, I thank you.
The Guild has seen fit to elevate me to the Gold rank after our party subdued a creature they had ordered us to bring back dead or alive. A wanderer of shadows, wanted by many but it's worse mistake was trusting us. They awarded each of us two thousand gold pieces for its capture. I do not fully grasp the purpose of these mortal “grades,” but the others have assured me it is considered an honor.
I have sent five hundred gold back to you and Mother. Use it for warmth, for a meal shared, for a moment of peace. Whatever celebration your hearts choose.
During the fight in this quest, a creature approached me with confused hostility. The moment it moved, the veil parted before my sight, and I saw what would befall it if the strike landed. I stepped aside and asked it to cease, for I truly did not know its purpose. When it touched me moments later, more eager than violent, the truth of its end came to me clearly, as it always does. Strangely, the touch softened it. Mortals and mortal-things have hearts that shift too quickly.
Sensing its sudden warmth, I let it believe I was in need of a drink. It wandered off to fetch a cold tea infusion with earnest determination. As expected, it never returned. Only later did I consider how unwise it would have been to accept anything it offered. Compassion must never stand in the place of caution.
Still, the moment lingers. Not for the danger, but for the reminder that even shadows can stir with impulses that resemble affection. The line between devotion and danger is fragile, Father, far more fragile than mortals seem to know.
Much love,
