Melon was born in the outer grasslands between the Avium-dominated roads and the smaller humblefolk settlements. Land too open to be safe, too quiet to be important. The rare Pronghorn Cervans are known for speed, alertness, and migration.
Melon got… none of that.
He was slow to learn, slow to speak, slow to understand why people were upset with him.
But he was never cruel, never lazy, never mean.
He smiled easily. He listened hard. He remembered faces forever.
